That was sweet, turkey's trying to protect themselves from the guillotine! Despite their efforts, I'm still gonna "gobble" some up on TG day and about every day for a week afterwards!

Best wishes to you as well.
During my years in blogosphere you have giving me such a richness and insight into American history of quality entertainment as nobody else, besides the most wondeful flower and bird photos ever.
Something you even have made and sent us as unique Calendars.
Not to forget all the reports from you girls having such amazing parties.
You are such a very special person for me.

hugs

A Very Happy Thanksgiving Day, Naomi!
I LOL with the cartoons, but the more funny in my opinion is the turkeys with the poster: "Eat Beef for Thanksgiving"!

I also think that to eat lots and lots of Chocolate is the best part of the Dinner! Lol!

Have a pleasant day!

A quietly nice day here, as we embrace our new traditions. This was the first holiday without my children and without my beloved mother-in-law.
I raised my glass to you, Naomi.

My dad said that out on the farm my grandma decided to raise turkeys one year. They put up a 12 foot high chicken wire fence around the yard area, thinking that would keep them in. The turkeys were up, over and out in a matter of minutes. Then all the boys had to chase them all over the farm. The turkeys would come back at night to roost and get fed and take off in the morning. When the boys would find them, they simply flew up to sit in some trees. I think my grandpa had to finally shoot them out of the trees and that was the last of the turkey farming. He said they just had chicken for Thanksgiving.
