low slung

When I saw this dear little doggie, I just had to take a picture of him/her/him(?).....I'd never seen a dog so close to the ground before that wasn't just about to lie down---certainly not one still walking about---or should I say waddling about....lol.....Really Cute, huh? If you ever wondered what the term 'low slung' meant....Here It Is! And here are the two ladies walking him and themselves, on the way to the market up on Santa Monica Blvd., maybe. This was the corner of Melrose and San Vicente Blvd., in West Hollywood......Life on the streets of Los Angeles. Not that different from many other cities......

More To Come.......

My Auntie always had Dachshund dogs. I think they are ok until they get overweight and then then have problems with their backs. I don't quite understand some of the features that are bred into cats and dogs that cause physical issues.

Unless that's an oddly shaped and fortuitously placed tumor, it would seem it's a "he."

I'm normally a big dog person, having owned huskies and malamutes, but Dachshunds are my favorite small dog. It's the only breed I think I could get my wife to agree to.

Cheers.

I love dogs. They're better people than we are. It's been 10 years that I've been without Max and though I really want another dog, it just hasn't happened again. The finances have to be right, the yard has to be fenced, my schedule has to slow down to give me time to spend with a dog, and the list goes on. There's a whisper behind all the excuses though, I think it's saying, "I don't want another dog, I want Max back." I really believe the soul lives on and lives again, so much so, that as Max was being put to sleep, the last things I said to him were, "I love you Max. Come find me again." I really hope he does. He hasn't so far. He had such a special soul and just clicked with my personality. We were attached at the hip for 12 of his 13 1/2 years. Gosh I miss him still.

I've heard you really have to watch the weight on that breed or they have painful back problems. He is a chunky monkey! My horse looks like that unfortunately!

I don't know whether to laugh or feel sorry for him/her. Btw, I believe it's a HIM...notice the part that's closest to the ground. lol

If you really want to people/dog watch, come with me to Lincoln Road...and bring your camera. You will not be disappointed.

Have a wonderful weekend, my friend! Hope to chat with you again soon.

It must have been chilly that day since the people have long sleeves and a hood on.

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend dear Naomi!
