exotica

On top of everything else.....we are having a scheduled power outage for five hours---or more----so, I haven't been able to get anything together, post-wise.....Just a few pictures to hold you over..... All of these flowers were so incredibly beautiful...I had a hard time choosing which pictures to share with you..... I love being able to see the detail of petals.....It just gives me such a sense of the extraordinary beauty of nature...the magic of nature, in all it's complexity and it's simplicity, too...... Like the above.....AMAZING, isn't it?

That's all for the moment....!

More To Come......

Thank you for "interpreting" flowers for us...always so beautiful.

A friend surprised me with a bouquet of tulips last week; flowers always give me a great sense of calm...and it was beautiful to watch them slowly open over the next couple of days and reveal themselves and their soft, pastel colors.

Beautiful flowers thanks for that, could almost feel the sunshine and smell the flowers and hear the insects.

Had a lovely moment in your garden thanks so much for that.

Thank you Naomi - they are really spirit lifting.
I nearly did a naughty thing. I was at the nursery and saw a model of a blue tit perched on a garden trowel and I though about buying it and photographing it and pretending it was a real bird. But my conscience wouldn't let me. Am I bad?

Hi Naomi, thanks for sharing. Its just starting to be early spring, my hubby was able to harvest, first picking of spinach, this week what a treat. So we have been busy calling every one, who was interested in purchasing it. Farmers markets do not open until mid-June around here and much too cold yet for someone to wait at stand. Do Lily of the Valley grow in your area? they are one of my favorite spring/early summer flowers. Have planted them around our house several times, but they do not adapt to hardpan soil very well. Your photo's always make me go AHAAA. Nature is a gift, can you imagine a world with out flowers?
5 hours of no electric, guess we are most fournate, as only ice or snow storms, affect us usally in that manner. But what a pain, to be without it.

YOU are exotica. Even when you were facing a power outage, which I know you do not enjoy, you post lovely flowers for us to enjoy. :)

That's alright as it was just enough to help me remember what's coming here in Western New York as yesterday for the first day of spring...ah...flowers coming..

I especially like the yellow flower. Why can't I have things like this growing in MY garden?

Thanks for sharing the beauty of your world with us, Naomi.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend...and I hope your power is back! :)

A scheduled power outage? I don't think they've ever had one of those here. I never heard of such a thing before!

Once again, spectacular flowers from you. Really enjoyed them for spring.
Gosh, a power outage for 5 hours is not pleasant. Hope things return to normal soon for you.

Am I just a pervert or does the stamen-thing in that last one look like a bent penis?

5 hours of a scheduled outage? Holy cow. Is this something that happens regularly?
