SECRET SANTA A HUGE SUCCESS!

Someone loved their "Secret Santa" gifts....Yes, lucky boy that he is...he got two gifts! One is the toy he is watching over in these photo's and the other was a great eating-type treat..."Feline GREENIES"....Chicken Flavor....Yummmy...his favorite!)

In these pictures Sweetie is resting for a moment on his favorite spot....coveting his toy....and making sure that he is the only one who gets to play with it...I'm not sure what he has in mind because I'm the only other person who lives in this house and I stopped chasing his toys about a week ago!
(It's true, he knows I love the Valentine Heart Shape....so maybe he's worried I'll pounce on his toy and scurry away with it and try to hide it from him....he needn't worry...I stopped sniffing catnip about two weeks ago!

'Secret Santa' was a very fun thing to participate in and I would urge anyone who didn't do it this year, to think about doing it next Christmas. I know, I know....it's really too soon to be thinking about next Christmas when no one has truly recovered yet from this Christmas...but...it was a very special thing to be a part of and as far as Sweetie is concerned he enjoyed both parts to it....the giving of a gift and the getting of a gift....who could ask for more....

Here's another example of the friendships that can happen in the Blogesphere...see, my lovely's, these friendships can include our dear four footed friends as well as ourselves!

Amazing, the wonderful benefits of blogging, isn't it?

It's almost the New Year of 2006!

How could we be more than halfway though this decade already when it was just finally the year 2000??....

What are you doing New Year's Eve?

Hi my dear :-)

I love that 'It's MINE' picture of Sweetie. So glad the SP worked out both ways.

Of course, the nice bit wasn't the gifts (although they are an added bit of spice), it was meeting new people and their pets. And most importantly, of course, meeting the Cowboy. Such a nice chap and so sad Eppy going to the Bridge just before Christmas. So good we were able to lend virtual support when it was needed most.

I am definitely putting the bagcat and snotrag in for SP again next year!

He is such a beautiful cat! Isn't it funny how they covet their toys when there's really no other animal around who'll take it?

I know I've said it before but he is SUCH a gorgeous puss.

I'll be partying at my house on New Years Eve. I'm on call for work (IT Systems) so we decided to have the party at our place so if I do get called I can just sneak out and not disrupt the party. Fingers crossed, there shouldn't be any calls, tonight's the end of year processing when all the doodoo will hit the fan.

Going over to watch the "descent aux flambeaux" at 6:30pm, the ski instructors ski with torches while we get some vin chaud (spiced hot wine) and the kids get hot chocolate. Wishing you all the best for 2006 from the lovely French Alps.

For New Years Eve.... BionicDwarf is coming over & we're watching the pilot & then all 13 episodes of the first series of Battlestar Galactica back to back. Should last about 12 hours - not counting breaks. Sad or WHAT!

Though there will be beer/vodka & pizza involved... So not THAT sad really...

Old Old Lady of the Hills, (that is so much fun to say and well, write)
I love cats, too. Ours didn't get anything. She is okay about it though. She didn't get us anything either.

I wanted to remind you about Friendly Friday. There is a special marathon this week. The band is asked to vote for the best previous featured Friendless Site for 2005. So come and practise your democratic privilege.

Have a Happy and safe Happy New Year.

1/2 way thru the decade? I hadn't even thought of that! We always stay home New Year's Eve, although we may go out to dinner earlier with my kids. Halloween & New Years are the 2 holidays I don't care for driving the streets...
And New Years Day, I'll be sleeping in ;)

Have a wonderful New Years & a blessed 2006
